I rarely go into nature with the intention of taking photographs even though many times I carry a phone or compact camera. There have been so many occasions when I experience the awe of nature that taking a photograph feels inadequate. Like the quote from John Muir, I have found many of my adventures are shaped by the journey of being fully present in nature and a nice photo is a lovely memento.
