Unexpectedly Marvelous 

I have friends in Texas that lived there all their life and have never visited Big Bend. I guess all the time I’ve spent on the road now means a 9 hour haul from houston isn’t such a big deal. Anyway, it was peak season in Big Bend but it definitely didn’t feel crowded at all by comparison to peak seasons in other national parks. I ended only spending 3 days there and I still felt a bit rush to see the bulk of the park. It doesn’t feel awe inspiring as some of the other parks but I think the diversity and size of the park still makes it a worthwhile visit.
